Wish Me Luck

Well, I started up potty training again today. Jaden does really well at Shauns. I think it's bc he wants to be like daddy, but either way, he knows what he's doing. Over the last few days, he's gone on the potty a couple of times at my house, so I thought now's as good as any other time to get him started back up. So, this morning, after breakfast, I took him into the bathroom and put him on the toilet. I went and got out the big boy undies, which of course he asked for his Cars undies. I told him he wouldn't get Cars until he went in the potty, and wouldn't you know, he went! So, he's now in his Cars undies, and we'll see how the day goes. I'm really hoping he's ready this time....I could use to save some $$$ on diapers!!!

Asher is doing well. He's starting to say more words. He now can tell you what a doggie says. He also can sign "please" and "more", and if he feels like it, "thank you". Now if he'd only stop biting! LOL

As for me, I had a good wkend! Btwn going to my friends house, and then we went to a friends wedding yesterday afternoon. Literally, her ceremony took less then 5mins! I was like, now THAT'S how to do a short wedding :) Then last night I had my sister come over, and I went over to a friend's house for a bonfire. Didn't stay too late, but it was nice to go relax a little w/friends b4 starting another week. All in all, it really was a good wkend. Thanks for reading :)

A Day Out!

I FINALLY got together w/my best friend Beth. She lives an hr away, and btwn me watching my nephew, working at nights, and her watching the kids that she watches, we find it hard to get together. But, after like a month of planning, we finally made a play date for the boys and a get together for us moms. The kids had so much fun together. We really didn't have to do much discipling bc they really did play VERY well together, which made both of us very happy :)

They got hot so we filled the little pool, which of course Asher was too afriad to go in....lol

It was the most fun we've had in a while. I'm SO GLAD that Beth and I were finally able to get together, I needed this...love you Beth!

RBC again

Well, I went to Richland Bible Church again. I got into it a little more this week. The sermon was good. They're doing Jesus's miracles. This week was the one about feeding the 5,000. He gave a lot of background and insight that I'd never heard before. Next week I'll be back at LCC bc I have nursery, but I'll continue at RBC maybe a week or two more, see if it continues to grow on me. I need to find some info on what type of ministries they have....
As for the rest of my wkend...I went to one of my HS friend's wedding on Saturday. She looked SO beautiful and the wedding really was nice! I had to take the boys w/me bc my mom and dad decided to go on a date. Luckily, it was outside, and I took lots of food and toys w/me :) I got to see my best friend for a little bit. Hopefully we'll be getting together this wkend to take the boys to the beach!

John Ball Park Zoo

Yesterday we took the boys to the John Ball Park Zoo bc it was free. I knew the boys would have fun bc both of them really enjoy animals. Here are some pictures of our day:

my week...

Well, we spent all week at my parent's house bc they were on vacation. It was odd to be away from my home and away from my stuff. I was glad when we went home Friday night.
Thursday, we took the boys to the circus. I don't have the pictures downloaded yet, but I'll get some soon. Jaden had fun. It was neat to see how intently he was watching and how big his eyes got at stuff. Asher liked anything that had animals in it, and BTW, all animals are dogs...lol. So, we saw a ton of different types of dogs at the circus, and that made him happy :P We found out that the boys don't like cotten candy. I was kinda surprised at that, but whatever.
Saturday night I was supposed to get together w/Rachel from one of my chat lines. She ended up getting stranded at her mom's house so that didn't happen. I was really bummed bc I was looking forward to the night out (had a babysitter and everything), and it had been forever since the two of us had gotten together.
Sunday, I was supposed to go out w/another friend, but that didn't happen either. None of my plans went through for this wkend :( I really need to find more friends. My best friend lives an hr away. My other close friend just moved to SC. I really do feel alone most days. I just miss having people to call up and do things with.
The boys seem to be having a rough week too. Even Mimi and Papee coming home didn't seem to cheer them up. Today they seem to be doing better, I can only hope that they start cheering up :)
Not sure what we're doing this week. One of my classmates is getting married this wkend. As long as everything goes as planned, I should be going. It'll be nice to see some of my old teachers and people I went to HS with.

RBC

Well, we tried out Richland Bible Church (RBC) today. In all, it was your average church. Reminded me of LCc only longer w/more worship songs. I really have nothing bad to say about the church, just not sure if it's the one for me. I'll give it another shot, don't want to dismiss it after one service. I guess we'll see how things go next week.

the good news is....

my doors aren't that easy to break into. I locked myself out of my house today. I have a spare key, but I had brought it in the house bc I found it outside just lying on the ground and didn't want it to get lost. My whole family is on vacation right now, or my mom could have come and rescued me. So, I had to wait out in the heat for a lock smith. He couldn't break into my front door, but thankfully was able to get in the back door. It's amazing how much they charge you just to come break in your house!!!

Didn't Go

Yesterday, I didn't go to church :( I got the boys from Shaun in the morning, and they were tired, needing a nap. So, we went home and I put them down. Last week, I went back to LLC bc I thought I had nursery. I thought about going to Resurrection yesterday, but I thought since I didn't go last week and won't be going back next week, that I just wouldn't go. Next week, I'm going to start trying out Richland Bible Church. My sister goes there along w/a bunch of people from my church b4 LLC. After trying out RBC for a month or so, I'm going to try Agape church. It will be interesting to see what happens. I've really really enjoyed RLC, but I want to make sure where I pick is where I want to stay. I don't like church shopping. I really wish LLC had more ministries to offer.
As for the rest of the week, we're going to go stay at my parent's house. They are on vacation, and I'm going to keep an eye on the house and my brother. Saturday I have plans to get together w/a girl that I met on one of my chat lines. We've gotten together b4, and we've really hit it off as friends. We're going to do a girls night w/pizza and brownies, sappy movies, and some drinks. Can't wait for my girls night out!!

4th of July

This my my 1st Fourth of July w/out the boys, well since they were born :P They were w/daddy last night, and it was bittersweet. It was nice to be able to go out and enjoy a race and fireworks w/out worrying about getting home to them, but when they called to say goodnight and as I watched the fireworks, I was REALLY wishing they were w/me. Asher would have hated it though. He's afraid of everything! But, I think Jaden would have been ready for it. Oh well, maybe next yr.

GR's Children Museum

Yesterday my mom, my sisters Jenny & Charity, my nephews Micah and Malin, my boys and myself all went to Grand Rapids to the Children's Museum. I had never been, but VERY glad we went! It was SO much fun for the babies! Jaden and Asher ran around going from activity to activity. It was nice to go over an hr w/out having to redirect or punish a kid for something.
