had a BLAST

So, I went on my shopping trip this wkend. As soon as I got out of work, I went and picked up Heather, who nicely volunteered to stay behind and ride up w/me. We were both a little nervous about having enough to say, but we had the opposite problem. We talked so much that we didn't realize we had gotten onto the wrong highway...LOL. Luckily, we weren't more then 10-15mins off course. I was looking forward to a nice long soak in the hot tub, but by time we got there, it was only open for maybe 10 more minutes. So, I go a short soak, but it was better then nothing.
Today, we shopped from 10A-3P. We all got some GREAT deals! I think the boys are pretty well set for summer, and I got a couple things that I needed for myself. It was a great time w/friends and a great time of relaxation.
I was more then happy to see my boys again, but I enjoyed my time away! Here are some pictures I took w/my cell phone tonight w/the boys.

sick kids

The boys have had cold like symptoms for about a wk or so, but nothing new for them. Seems like, Jaden at least, never gets rid of his colds. Well, 2 day ago, they started getting the green buggers in the eyes, which is never a good sign. And then that night, we were up w/both of them till 2 in the morning! So, I took them into the doctor's yesterday, and Jaden has a double ear infection and Asher has a left ear infection. Not that anytime is a good time for them to get sick, but since I'm leaving for the wkend and my inlaws are going to watch them all day Saturday, this definitely isn't the time for them to be sick. I'm hoping they'll be acting ok today, so I feel semi-ok about leaving my sick babies.

praises in little things

Ok, so just some little things that I'm thankful for or happy about. Here they are:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my job! I love what I do, and I LOVE the people I work with! I was supposed to be training for 2wks, and as of tomorrow, I am on my own!!! Some drawl backs are that I wanted to use some of the money to get Jaden into like swimming lessons or gymnastics, and now I'm not sure if I'll have the time to do it w/him. On a plus side, I'm getting the water pump fixed on my van tomorrow for a discounted, yep DISCOUNTED price *happy dance*

Tomorrow we're getting Dish Network hooked back up. We've been doing Netflix bc I needed something fun in my life, but I really stink at sending the dvds back. So, since they're running a really great deal, not much more then what we pay for Netflix, we decided to get rid of Netflix and hook up our Dish again. We haven't had Dish for about 3yrs now, and I will be SO HAPPY to get rid of the bunny ears!

And lastly, I'm just excited about this wkend. Not only did it work out that my wkend rotation is on Shaun's days off, but it also worked out that I have this wkend off. What is this wkend you ask?? Well, it's a shopping trip to my FAVORITE outlet mall w/a bunch of women from church. It's an over-night thing, so I'm getting away from my kids and my husband for the 1st time in yrs. I'm driving up w/Heather after I get out of work, and I just can't wait!!!

Oh, and next wk, we're taking Jaden (Asher too, but it's really for Jaden) to see Thomas the Train. He LOVES Tommy, and my FIL found that he's coming to the Henry Ford Museum and got us tickets. Jaden is going to be SO excited to see Tommy, and he'll get to ride on the train which will just make his year!!

Sorry, most of this is probably like, whatever, to most people, but I wanted to share my joy :)

Rock on God!

I just wanted to send out a shout of praise to the most awesome God and the only God worth serving! Being human and especially being me, it is hard not to worry when things don't look good. Especially when it affects your family. For anyone who isn't a mom, the feelings that come w/it are just too deep, too surprising, and way too difficult to try to describe, but being the protective mother bear is diffinately one feeling that comes w/motherhood. So, not knowing how things were going to get paid for was a real stressor for me! But, my God, the one I continully doubt even though I know it's wrong and unneccessary, has pulled through again by giving me this perfect job! I think I've already got it pretty well mastered. The people there are GREAT! The girl whom I will be working w/is super nice, and the guys in the shop are just a blast. They've been so kind to me and totally understanding and friendly. I just couldn't ask for anything more!

my day

Well, can we just say LONG DAY! For some reason, I was awake at like 6:30 this morning, and of course, couldn't get back to sleep. Not that it was THAT much earlier then I would have gotten up at 7, but still.... Went, picked up Malin and Micah, dropped Micah off to school, and then came home. I got Malin breakfast, played w/the boys until it was nap time. I layed w/Jaden for an hr trying to get him to sleep, finally giving up. I layed him on the couch by himself, shut off the tv, and he eventually fell asleep on his own.
During this time, my mom called me w/a list of things she needed me to bring over to the house for this thing at church tonight, so I'm getting all of that together while Jaden is sleeping. Then, hoping he stays asleep, even though Asher is already up and singing to himself in his crib, I go and do my hair. This of course is no longer a 1-2-3 thing bc I'm growing my hair out. Now, not only does it take me at least a half an hr to do my hair, I've also started wearing make-up. GRRRR, men have it SO much easier.
I get done just in time for Jaden and Malin to wake up. Now, I have to get everyone lunch. I put my two in, let Malin play for a bit, and start packing up the van. My two get done, and now it's Malin's turn to eat while I get my boys ready to go. Once they're ready and Malin is done eating, it's his turn to get ready to go, and then we head out.
We get to my mom's a little early bc I needed to get money for the youth fundraiser at church b4 I went to work. She's not there to help me get the boys in the house. So, I'm trying to get everyone inside, mean while, their new puppy is barking it's head off like it's dying. Asher is bawling bc he's afraid of it, and I still have to go bring in Malin. By time I get back, he's totally gone in his tears. I never did get him calm. I get everyone in the house and set up pack-n-plays to lay the babies down for their afternoon nap. By time I get that all done, my mom shows up, which is good bc I had to leave. I run to the bank, pick myself up something to eat bc I've managed to forget to feed myself, and hurry to work.
Work went really well. Everyone was EXTREMELY friendly! The job isn't that hard, though I did manage to mess up a transation, but it was like my 2nd of the day. I'm sure I'll have the job mastered w/in a wk and all will be good :)
After work, I rushed to church for the trivia night/youth fundraiser. My sister won the Oasis hot tub price that I SO wanted, we didn't win, but it was a lot of fun. That didn't get done till 9:15, way past the boys' bed time.
By time we got home, ASher was a sleep, and Jaden was so tired that he asked to be put to bed. I'm posting this, and then I'm going to relax in the bubble bath I have prepared for myself. AFter which, I am getting everything ready for work tomorrow and then heading to bed.

and, I'm not sure how it went, but it must have went ok bc I start tomorrow!!! I'm SIKED! It looks like I'll be working every evening, and every other saturday. Hopefully I'll get the saturdays that Shaun is home, but either way, my mom will help out if need be. I'm just thankful that God had a plan and that He provides!! THANK YOU GOD!

get my hopes up, but I may have a praise! A wk or so ago, there was an add for a job reading:

It was PERFECT for me! Late enough in the evenings for me to get the kids over to my parent's house, but not too late for getting them home and to bed. And, every other Saturday isn't bad. It's not on Sunday, which is a MUST for me. Anyways, I thought, here is my answer to prayer, the job God had me wait for. I went to go fill out an application, and the job was filled :(
No need to say that I was discouraged. I mean, here was the job that just screamed PERFECT FOR HOLLY! Well, the lady was really nice and let me fill out a job app even though the job was filled. This morning, just now, I got a call from her. She is filling the position w/someone else and was hoping I was still interested!!!!! I have an interview tomorrow morning at 9A! I'm trying to keep myself from doing cartwheels in my tiny livingroom...LOL. My heart is full of hope!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray that this is what God wants for me, and that I get this job! This would help take off a lot of the worry I've been feeling about what to do when my sister goes on maternity leave. Plus, it would be nice to have some extra money to help us not be in such a tight position financially.

TO ME!

25 yrs, am I really that old already? I don't feel old. Shaun got me roses and a card. Tonight, Shaun and I are going to a work dinner in Fort Wayne, IN. I'll celebrate w/my family tomorrow night. Friday night I'm going to a Trivia Night thing at our church, it's a youth fundraiser. Saturday, we're going to do something fun w/the kids, maybe go to the Grandville mall and let the boys play and ride the carosel. Then Shaun and I are going out for the evening, and my mom is going to keep the boys over night!

updates

This week has thrown me off on so many levels. It's spring break, so my mom is off of work. We did a lot of stuff w/her, plus we had Jaden's eye appt today. Needless to say, I haven't done very good on my diet this week, I don't know why I even try!
Well, lets see. Monday was pretty uneventful. My dad worked on my van a bit. It needs something replaced on the air compressor, and I'm pretty sure it needs a new water pump. I can't keep antifreeze in it to save my life. He already replaced a hose that was leaking. I put on a new radiator cap, but nothing has fixed it. We can't find any other leak, hence why we've determined it needs a new water pump. SUCKS bc it seems like in the past month we've just been shoveling money into the van.
Tuesday, which I kept thinking was Thursday, we took Jaden to Troy to see Dr. Nesi. He seemed to agree w/Dr Nelson's 2nd opinion, that Jaden can wait to have the surgery. He said he too would have wanted to get a 2nd opinion after she did such a 180 on us, but he thinks she's a good doctor. He says we should keep getting him checked yrly, but he thinks we can wait probably another 2yrs to do the surgery.
Wednesday we took the kids to the Grandville mall. It has a kid playland in it, and Jaden LOVES it. Everything is padded so it's very kid friendly. I picked up the boys new Easter outfit shirts bc I had short outfits picked out for them. But, since it's snowing, I thought that probably wasn't the best idea to let them wear.
Thursday, which I kept thinking was Saturday, I went w/my mom, little sisters, my nephew, and Jaden to an indoor water park at the Double JJ ranch. It was fun, a lot better then Fullblast! Jaden did really good, though he did get tired about an hr b4 we were ready to leave. Luckily, Mimi isn't found of the water, so he sat out w/her. Once we got back into town, Shaun and Asher joined Jaden and I to go do some grocery shopping. We got all the supplies for the boys' Easter. They are going to be on a SUGAR HIGH! When we got home, we let J stay up past his bedtime to decorate easter eggs.




And today, we haven't done much yet. Jaden has a doctor's appt this afternoon. They want to make sure his bronchitis is gone, plus we might adjust his allergy meds. Right now he's on claritin and rhinocort (a nose spray). Then this evening, I need to go buy my nephew's b-day present, finish up shopping, and I think Mimi is going to take J to Build a Bear for his Easter present.
