awwww

Jaden has had a rough morning. Ironically, we'd just gone to his allergy/asthma specialist yesterday, and he'd asked how well Jaden had been doing. Course, Jaden has been doing well since we started him on the breathing treatments. Well, then last night I heard him starting to cough, and the first thing out of his mouth this morning was "mommy, I need my medicine bc I don't want to get sick." Two minutes later, he puked :( Then, a bit later, he puked again...poor little man! We'd left his mouth piece at my mom's yesterday, so we had to go get it this morning. But, after he finally got his full treatment in, this is how I found him minutes later....

I hope he feels better when he wakes up!!

Ped GI

Asher's pediatrician called this afternoon to tell me that they'd finally gotten Asher into the Ped GI. It had been so long, that I figured they'd forgotten about it, and since his poop issues seem to be done, I wasn't worried about it. I told them that Asher seems to be back to normal and asked if they thought he still needed to go. They said he did since one of his liver tests came back high both times he had blood drawn. So, he goes to the Ped GI on June 6th. Not sure if it will turn out to be nothing or if there really is an underlying issue that still hasn't been dealt with. I guess, when it comes to my kid's health, I'd rather be safe than sorry. So, we'll see what happens.

Kasey Kahne

He not only won the All-Star race, but went on to win the 600-mile Coca-Cola 600 at the Lowe's Motor Speedway. He is just the sixth driver to win both events in the same year.

Potty Training

Well, Asher has officially started potty training. Somedays,he can go all day w/out missing a one, and the next day, you could take him to the bathroom every 10mins and still miss every single time. He's so hot and cold, it's frustrating. That boy has pee control when he wants to though. He'll pee 5 times in 10mins, if it means he keeps getting candy, but other days, he just doesn't care. Today though, he woke up, and Jaden wasn't awake yet so we hung out in my room for a bit. When we finally went downstairs, he asked to go potty, and low and behold, he'd stayed dry all night long!!! I was shocked!! And, as of yet, we haven't missed yet this morning, though it is still very early. I am hoping that maybe this will be the day that Asher decides he wants to use the potty 100% of the time.

for trade

So, I find myself in a catch 22. I watch a set of twins, currently 2 days a week, and I've been doing it for almost a year now. The twins are the sons of my mother's hairdresser, and when my mom got me the job, it was arranged for me to watch them at my mother's house. One, bc my house wasn't big enough at the time, and two, bc their mother works literally 2mins away from my mom's. Well now, my mom has decided she wants to reclaim her house which means that I would need to watch them at my place. W/the new townhome, that's not really an issue, only that I still have to drop them all off at my mom's bc I leave for work b4 they get picked up. And, that's where the problem comes in bc I no longer have a van to transport 4 children in. Currently, I don't need the income bc I'm making enough from TG, but when I get laid off, I will need them bc JH doesn't pay as well as TG does. Preferrably, the smart way to go about getting a van would be to save up for it, here's where the catch 22 comes in. I can't save up for a van if I'm not watching the twins, and w/out a van, I can't watch the twins. See my dilema? I tried applying for a small loan hoping to get something I could get paid off by the end of the year, but as the judge warned me, I will never get approved for anything until the house sells and is taken off my debt to income ratio. I have yet to find my solution. I have the car up for trade incase someone was wanting to downsize to save money w/gas prices the way they are, but so far, no luck. And of course, no private seller wants to do a pymt plan which is also totally understandable. What to do, what to do? *sigh*

And the boys are driving me CRAZY!! The past two days they have been aweful!! They've been fighting non-stop. Asher has been biting his brother and mouthing off to me. Jaden has wet the bed 2 nights in a row which isn't like him. I'm about ready to put them up for trade, or even a straight give away...lol. So, if you know fo anyone looking for two little boys, one already potty trained, and one in the potty training process, just let me know :D

Anyways, speaking of children, I have 2 little boys that I are going to bed early tonight bc they didn't get naps and mommy needs her sanity back :) So, off I go to get some peach and quiet. YAY!

Mother's Day

Well, for my mom's mother's day gift, we decided to get a picture taken of all the grandkids. If you want a day of fun, here's my suggestion, take 6 kids, under the age of 9, and try to get them to smile at the same time....LOL

And, I wasn't planning on getting my picture taken, but she had to have at least 6 poses, so here's the boys and I:

Shaun had the boys each paint me a picture for Mother's Day which they gave me on Friday, and he called Sunday to make sure I was told Happy Mother's Day. My mom got Melanie, Bethany, and I each a candle holder, plus she had the boys each pick me out a card. The boys layed down for a nap, and since my dad wasn't there to monopolize the tv, we went girlie and put on "27 Dresses". This is how I found Jaden:

I tried to get some pictures taken w/the boys, but as you'll see, they weren't cooperating although they had no problems having their picture taken...little monsters!

But, it was an ok mother's day....hope everyone else enjoyed their mother's day!!

it's been a while

I just realized how long it's been since I posted. The boys and I are doing well. My job at TruGreen is going good. They upped my hours, and I'm praying for FT eventually. I really don't want to work FT, but after August, I'm going to need insurance. I go back to my gyno on June 25th for repeat tests to see how things are going. I'm currently trying to save up for at least a down pymt on a van bc things have been getting hectic w/the twins. They've been arriving early and today, 1.5hr LATE, which when you get up at 6A to be on time and they don't show up till 8A is EXTREMELY frustrating!! Currently, I watch them at my parent's house bc I leave for work b4 their parents get off work. But, if I had a van, I could watch them at my house and transport them to my parents' b4 having to go to work. Otherwise, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I'll definitely need them this winter when I get laid off from TG, but this is just really starting to get to me.
Jaden is doing well, the healthiest I've seen him in who knows when! He's on pulmicort which is a steriod. He takes it through his nebulizer once a day. He's still taking benadryl twice a day as well, and is now cough, sneeze, runny nose free....YAY!!!! He cut his hair the other day at Shaun's. I know it's something almost every kid does at some point in time, but I wasn't expecting him to do it at such a young age...lol
Asher is also doing well. Still haven't gotten anything for his lab results about the poop issue, but I'm actually starting to think it's his teeth. He went in for a repeat check up, and the Ped found that he's cutting all four of his 2yr old molars all at once. So, that could explain the randomness of his issues, and why he's not testing positive for anything. He can now count to 13 and sing his alphabet to the letter "L". He randomly breaks out in song...cracks me up :D He's started this "ha ha" thing as well. Not sure where he got it from, but I wish I could break him of it. Oh, and he's started potty training!!! He's actually been doing pretty good. The kid pees on command like every 20mins. He's not telling us when he has to go yet, but as long as we keep catching him in time......he'll catch on eventually. SO looking forward to being out of diapers!!!!!
Other than that, I don't think there's much else to say. We're staying busy as always. Drop me a line sometime, or if you ever want to do playdates, give me a call. I'm sure we'll be out a lot come summer!
