I Got the JOB!!!!

I'm SO excited. So, I told you all I went for the open interview on Wednesday @ TruGreen. Well, after not hearing anything back, I decided to call on Monday just to check up on it. So, I did, and I got one of the guys that I had briefly met while filling out the app. He was like, what's your name and what position were you interview for? I told him, and he was like, oh, you're the one who used to work at M&M, right? I was like yeah, good memory. (Course today, after going in, I realized that they must have snooped at my app and resume bc I know I didn't tell them that info, but no hard feelings :P) Anyways, so he was like you need to talk to Lisa and transfered me to her. She and I talked for a little bit. She told me about the job. I will work mon-fri 5p-9p and sat 9a-1p maybe later if i want, and it pays $9 an hr which is exactly what I was asking for. At the end, she was like, are you still interested, and I was like, yeah, it's kinda perfect. She was like, ok, well come meet w/me on Wednesday, and we'll work out the rest of the details. So, I was pretty sure I had the job, but still unsure, ya know? So, I showed up today, and the two office girls that I'd met b4 were like, we told her we liked you! I was like, sweet, thanks :) Then I went in to speak w/her. She asked me some questions, not many though. Then she was like, well, I kinda already knew I was going to hire you. She said, Pat (the guy who interviewed me) is a pretty good judge of character and the girls out there said they liked you, so you have the job. I wanted to jump up and down!!! Personally, working till 9p every night isn't exactly what I want, but it allows for the boys to be able to be watched by family which helps me out and makes me feel better. And, other than that, everything else about it is absolutely perfect for me. So, I start on April 14th!! She was going to let me start the 21st, but I can't afford to go almost a whole week w/out pay. I'm just SO happy and SO thankful right now!!! As I said in my "trust" post, I don't know why I ever doubt God bc He always pulls through for me!! And, I should hear about a place to live hopefully tomorrow or by Friday at the latest!!! Things seem to be falling into place, and all I can say is THANK YOU God!!!!!

life explained....

On the first day, God created the dog and said:

'Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or
walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty years.'

The dog said: 'That's a long time to be barking. How about only ten years
and I'll give you back the other ten?'

So God agreed.
*********************************************
On the second day, God created the monkey and said:

'Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I'll give you a
twenty-year life span.'

The monkey said: 'Monkey tricks for twenty years? That's a pretty long time
to perform. How about I give you back ten like the Dog did?'

And God agreed.
**********************************************
On the third day, God created the cow and said:

'You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under
the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer's family. For this,
I will give you a life span of sixty years.'

The cow said: 'That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty
years. How about twenty and I'll give back the other forty?'

And God agreed again.
***********************************************
On the fourth day, God created man and said:

'Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. For this, I'll give you twenty
years.'

But man said: 'Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty, the
forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog
gave back; that makes eighty, okay?'

'Okay,' said God, 'You asked for it.'

So that is why for our first twenty years we eat, sleep, play and enjoy
ourselves.
For the next forty years we slave in the sun to support our family.
For the next ten years we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren.
And for the last ten years we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.

Life has now been explained to you.

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information. I'm doing it as
a public service.

trust

I realize that among other issues, that I have an issue w/trust. It seems in almost every part of my life, whether it be w/family, my marriage, friends, work, I seem to always get let down. And, I realize that it's not healthy nor good. What's the worst, is that I struggle trusting God as well. I'm currently about to lose my job bc tax season is done. I need to be out of my house by April, but my credit is shot and don't make enough to be approved anywhere. And, I don't have any money saved up bc I've been short ever since I lost my job at M&M.
I know I could look back on my blogs and see time and time again where God has pulled me through, but still. Why? Why don't I trust Him by now? Why do I let things continue to stress me out and overwhelm me??
At church today, I was singing the worship songs, a lot of which had to do w/how God takes care of His people. I fully believe every word that I sang. I believe that God is able. I believe that He is all powerful. Why do I believe that He is able to do immmeasurably for everyone except me?

accounting

Did I mention that I hope to go back to college after summer? I've applied for FAFSA and am hoping to enrol to either KVCC or Spring Arbor. My brother will be going to KVCC for accounting as well. I considered taking classes w/my brother bc he's going for the same degree, but I'm guessing he'll take day classes and I'll have to take nights (probably). Anyways, I'm both excited and scared. I haven't been in school since 2001. What if I suck at it now? Plus, I'll be giving up more time w/the boys. But, I love numbers, and I actually think this is a career that I would actually enjoy to do. W/a degree, I'd be able to better provide for my family. It has it's pros and cons, but for better or worse, I've started the process.

prayer requests

It's been a while since my last post. There's so much stuff going on in my life right now...I'm at my breaking point w/stress. The boys are doing ok. They either have colds or allergies, can't figure out which. We know Jaden has allergies, but he could have a cold on top of it all. Favorite movie of the week would be Tarzan II. Asher has been pretty clingy, and Jaden has been whiney. I really think they're getting cabin fever. I can't wait for winter to be done so they can go run and play outside again.

I have been working my butt off to try to find a job as the time for my JH job to end is quickly approaching (not that I wasn't trying my hardest b4). I've actually gone to 3 interviews this week. #1 was for a day care, #2 was for a lawn company, and #3 was for a job placement company. I will not be pursuing #1 bc it's too far away and not enough money. W/gas being projected at $4.00 by this summer, I probably wouldn't even break even. #2 and #3 though, I'm praying really hard about!! #2 is actually perfect. It's 30hrs a week, evenings, and starts about when JH ends. #3 would be good too though. They actually have a job that they should be setting me up w/an interview immediately for. It's clerical, FT, and long term. I'm just really praying that God sends something my way and SOON.

There's a lot of other stuff going on, but until the details are ironed out, I'll keep it to myself. But, there are a lot of changes going on, and I could use prayers for wisdom and sanity!! And, if you know of any jobs that have to do w/cash handling, clerical or customer service, send them my way :)
