Asher's 1st Hair Cut

I did it a couple of weeks ago, and just forgot to post about it. The pictures aren't the best bc I forgot my camera and had to take them w/my cell phone but here they are.
Before:

Can you see how long his bangs are and how shaggy it is in the back? I wanted to keep the same baby look, but trim it up some. Here's how it turned out:

green snot

Why can't my kids stay healthy?? I just don't get it! Asher and Jaden have green snot flowing from this today. I guess only time will tell as to whether it is just a cold or going to be something else.
Also, Asher has decided that playing w/the TV is SOOO much fun! We had a tv guard for Jaden, but I'm not sure where it went. Anyways, he puts things in the vcr, and he likes to change the channel or turn the tv off. Then he runs away and claps, like I'm supposed to be happy that he did this...lol. He's in for a lot of hand slapping.

my saturday

I had a good Saturday considering how my week has gone. At 8A, I was at the Westnedge Hill's garage sales w/my mom and sister, and we got some GREAT deals! I was almost as anxious for these garage sales as I am for the day after Thanksgiving sales :) We walked around for about 3 hrs.
Then, I went out to lunch w/my best friend Beth whom I never get to see bc she lives an hour away. We went to Finley's and talked for about 2hrs!! It was such a good time to talk about what's going on in our lives and talk about our children and see which child has hit which stage. Both of ours seem to be in the notty toddler stage..lol
Finally, as if I wasn't gone enough of the day, I went out w/a group of girls from church that I go to a Bible study with. We went to Culvers and sat around talking for 3hrs and then we went and closed down the mall. We also did this thing where we each bought a $5 pair of sandles and blindly traded them w/each other. I got the cutest pair of sandles which of course I had to wear today to church to show off :)
All in all, it was a really great day! I enjoyed the time away from my husband and from the kids (though I did feel bad for not being home w/the kids practically all day), and I enjoyed the time to talk w/friends and just relax. Everyone needs those kinds of days every once in a while!

Prayers

It seems like Satan won't let me have a momment of happiness. My last few blogs have been happy and praise filled, and now he brings this. I will stand in the rain, and through it all I will praise Him in the storm, but I will need lots and lots of prayers.
I'm going to be vague bc there are people who don't know me personally who read this, and like to print it off and make a big deal about it to Shaun at work. I thought about limiting who could read my blog, but it seemed like a lot of extra work. I figure, if you trully know me, you'll know what I'm talking about. If you don't, call or email me, and I'll fill you in.
Once things are finalized, I'll probably blog openly about them, but until then, heres what I'll say. Things do not look good on many different levels. I'm not sure where to turn, what to do, or how God plans on seeing me through this. Everytime I have doubted Him, He has still pulled me through, and never let me down. So, even though my physical mind can't grasp what is going on, my heart is trying to clinge tight to His word.
Pray for me, the boys, and Shaun. Pray lots and pray hard! Thanks.

Day out w/Tommy aka Thomas the Train

We went last Thursday to see Tommy aka Thomas the Train at the Henry Ford Museum w/my in-laws. Jaden had a BLAST! His eyes got SOOO big when he saw the life size Thomas. They had train sets set up around the park, and every time we found one, I thought we'd never get him away. He got a free tattoo of Tommy on his hand. He got to ride on the train, which, though he seemed VERY serious about it, I know was one of the highlights of the day! He also got to ride a carosel, which he thoroughly enjoys.
Asher on the other hand, enjoyed being outside, but wasn't too thrilled about a lot of things. He's my timid baby, so he wasn't happy about the train ride. He doesn't like carosels, so I didn't even try to get him to do that. While Jaden was riding though, he saw these two ladies holding balloons, and he wanted them SO bad. He walked over to them and gave them the BIGGEST puppy dog eyes ever...LOL. We weren't going to buy the balloons bc they were like $6 and a huge rip off in my opinion, but after that, Shaun decided to go buy him one :) Asher took his balloon and went over to the ladies to show them as if to say "see, I got one!" LOL...it was TOO cute!
Here are some pictures from the day. The 1st one of Jaden meeting Sir Toppin Hat, if he looks scared, it's bc he was :)
