Nottawa Fruit Farms Field Trip

So Thursday I got to go on my first field trip of the year w/the boys. We went back to the Nottawa Fruit Farms, which you haven't been, is a GREAT deal for the money! Not to mention, my kids have a blast everytime. I was very thankful for my always being over prepared when it comes to going places because most popele thought it was going to be a nice day and sent their kids in just shirts and a light sweater. I on the other hand had the boys' winter coats and hats which turned out to be a good thing because it was COLD! And I felt special because both boys chose to sit w/me on the bus vs w/their friends...aww <3

Not sure what made Asher finally go through the hay stack maze, but he did!

Asher got this deer to feed from him

J got kissed by this deer

J did get to feed this goat

Asher just decided to take this goat home

Laid Off

Well, I got the news yesterday when I got into work. As of the end of next week, I will be laid off from work. Possibly to return in April, but most likely to not bc chances are they won't be needing us by then. I've already applied to get into a different type of low income housing. My rent would be 30% of my income and would change as my income changes. Not only that but I wouldn't pay utilities, it's a THREE bedroom AND has a basement!! I'm on a 2-4 month wait, and I'm through about 1month already of the wait. I'm really really really praying that it comes through for me! Luckily, I knew the lay off was possible and stashed away some money from my tax refund. Now, it's not going to see me through forever, but it will buy me some time. I've already been looking for new jobs. I'm applying for a cell phone through safelink, and once I am approved and receive the phone I will cancel my cell phone plan and will probably get a home phone which I haven't had in......hmmmm way to long to remember. Seriously, that's about all I have to cut out of my life bc I don't have a car payment due to the fact that I used most of my last years taxes to buy my van, and I don't have CC's. It will solve the daycare expense issue, and honestly, I'm looking forward to being home w/my boys for a bit. If anyone is looking for a babysitter, keep me in mind or feel free to give someone my number! Please keep us in your prayers that everything will fall into place, and that God will continue to provide a way for my family!!!

Asher's First ER Trip

Well, besides the ER trip to give birth to Asher, this is his first trip to the ER outside the womb. The boys have both been sick for a while. They've had cold symptoms for about a month, and the past 2wks they've been running fevers off and on. Well, J started the fevers last week, but Asher followed suit this week. So Tuesday I had them both in the peds office where they tell me they sound healthy, nothing is infected so it must be viral and I get to keep waiting it out. Not really what I want to hear bc personally I don't think you run a fever off and on for 2wks for nothing, but what do I know?
So this morning both boys are sleeping, and it's preschool morning so of course I don't get to sleep in w/them and have to wake them up. Since Asher has been finding his way to my bed and was in it last night, I chose to wake him up first. So he gets up, goes in and pees, and then runs to his bedroom crying. I'm thinking he's just being difficult and not wanting to get ready so I follow him in. I pick him up and he's panting like he's going to puke. As I'm thinking to myself, Lord don't let him puke all over me, he just passes out right in my arms. For the next half an hour, he would open his eyes long enough to look at me and then pass back out. I called the peds who told me to immediately take him to ER. I woke up J, called Shaun, and off to ER we went.
He was fairly alert through the car ride, even lit up for a minute when he saw the helicopter, but still very lathargic. He laid on the bed w/no energy as the doctors told me again how everything looked good. Of course they weren't telling me he wasn't sick, they were telling me there were no clues and no tests they could run that would give them the clues they needed. So they sent us home to keep an eye on him, and bring him back if there were any changes or any extra clues.
Luckily, he seems to be better. He definitely has his attitude back which is a good sign he's feeling better. We decided since Shaun had to go towards his parent's for work, that he would take Jaden to them for the weekend. The boys just don't seem to be getting better, and I can't afford to lose anymore time at work! So, I'm washing all their blankets, lysoling the whole house, and praying by Sunday whatever they have has left my household!!!

more updates

Well, life hasn't slowed down any, that's for sure! Asher had his meeting w/his early intervention counselor on Monday. She will be meeting w/him once a week for 2hrs. She thinks he has a mood disorder which I strongly agree wtih. She is getting into occupational therapy to help him learn how to deal w/things vs just putting him on meds. Wednesday he had his speech therapist meeting. The therapist had him go through a book and tell her what each object was. If we'd stopped right there, she was going to tell me he didn't qualify. As she was going over her charts showing me how he didn't qualify, Asher started talking to her. And if you've ever met my son, you'll know that not only is he smart and has a HUGE vocabulary, he also talks non-stop. As he sat there talking to her, she finally realized where the problem came in. He doesn't talk like a normal 3yr old, and it's when he goes off into his lengthy sentences that he becomes unable to be understood. She also thinks he has some oral issues. So he'll be meeting w/the speech therapist twice a week. My schedule is getting fuller by the appointment..lol Jaden has his appointment on the 21st, and Lord help me if he needs anything!

I've been applying for new jobs. I really can't afford to wait it out and pray that I find something when they finally give me the official pink slip. I've applied for an even cheaper townhome. I'm praying that not only do I get in, but that my current complex will let me out a little early of my lease.

I'm praying and trying my hardest to trust that things will work out!
