I got the boys back yesterday in time to go pick up the rental van that Brian got me, get Asher's blood work done, and pick up Charity from school so we could start our vacation. The van I got is an '08 Toyota Sienna which I have fallen in love with!! It has automatic everything including doors, bucket seats for the boys, great trunk space, 6 cup holders, pretty much anything you can think of, it has, except a dvd player, but that's ok :) The blood work went better than the first time in some ways, but worse in others. He sat better for them while they tried to find a vein, but I think we had newbies bc they dug around in his poor little arm for a while b4 having a girl come over and finish it for them....poor little guy!!!! But, once we got Aunt Charity, the fun began.
We went straight to the hotel where Jaden just HAD to go straight to the water...lol. Asher was deathly afraid of the water, as you will see in the pictures I'll upload when we get home. We tried to get him to get used to the water, but in the end, we ended u sitting on the side of the pool and discussing how much he DIDN'T like the water :)
Jaden wasnt' ready to leave about an hour later, but we were all hungry. So we left and went to Pizza Hut for dinner. Then, ran to Dunkin Donuts to get breakfast, and just had to get Baskin Robins for desert since they were in the same spot. Then we went to a different mall than the one we plan on going to today. I got a great deal on a new two piece which I desperately needed, and a cute pair of brown sandles. By time we got done w/all that, it was bedtime.
Jaden was up at 6:30 this morning and wanted to go straight to the pool. Asher woke up at 7:30, we ate breakfast, and headed to the water. Only to find out that the water doesn't open till 10, and we have to check out at 11...grrr! I called the desk, and they said we can stay in the water till 1p, but we do have to be out of the room at 11. So, who knows how long we'll stay in the water, but I'm sure we'll stay as long as Jaden can get Asher to allow :)
Then it's off to the Grandville mall where we're going to play in their play area, do build-a-bear, and possibly go to the movies. Might as well make the most out of the last of my tax refund money and give the boys the most fun I can.
They've had a pretty full week. The beginning of the week they spent w/daddy, and they went to the zoo which they were talking non-stop about on the way here, so you know they had fun! And now the trip to GR.....they should have lots to talk about for a while. I'll post pics when we get back.
